First, trek up to through astonishing natural landscapes that reveal diverse cultural traditions on the way to the Himalayan high pass, the Thorang La, 5416 meters (17,769 ft). Starting this journey with the trekking portion of the two-phase adventure allows time for proper acclimatization along the way. The Thorang La is a watershed pass between two major valleys, the Mustang (Kali Gandaki River) and Manang (Marsyangdi River) valleys.
